Projects To Help Others
I remember the day I was diagnosed with cancer everyone was asking what I needed and all I could say was “Not to have cancer”. I had no clue what I needed and at that point I was strangly calm about the situation. Others around me kept saying things like “We are devistated for you” and “This is so bad” and the whole time my thought was “why are they so worried if I am not?”
My wife suggested to me that since my chemotherapy treatments last 6-8 hours that I might want an I-Pod so I can listen to music. My parents bought me an I-Pod so I joke and say “wow I get cancer and an I-pod all in the same week”.
It took me 3 days and a lot of cursing to figure out how to use the darn thing and to figure out that you do not insert a CD into the I-Pod…
I have told people that me getting cancer was the best thing ever because it has motivated me to work harder to change peoples lives and to fight against cancer for myself and others..
I am sking for people to donate their old I-Pods,Cd players, laptops, portable DVD players, old CD’s that they do not use, portable radios,headphones,I-Tunes cards and hand held video games so that we can give them to people who are having chemotherapy so that they can relax and have some fun during this time..Please contact me if you can help.
